
Bandits win RBC Cup Brooks Bandits capped off an outstanding season Sunday night with an RBC Cup national Junior A championship.
First period goals by Anthony Petruzzelli and Dakota Mason and an empty net goal by CJHL MVP Cam Maclise gave the Bandits a 3-1 championship victory over the host Summerside Western Capitals.

RiverWatch trip an eyeopener for area students Grade 11 biology classes from Bassano and Rosemary schools took part in the RiverWatch program in Calgary earlier this month.
This program was started in 1995 by a group of Calgary teachers who wanted to give their students a more interactive experience with biology and the river.

Bandits Canadian champs Brooks Bandits won the Canadian Junior Hockey League championship Monday with a 3-1 win over the host Summerside Western Capials.
The Bandits scored twice in the first period on shots by Anthony Petruzzelli (assists Anthony Paskaruk and Cam Maclise) at 7:17 and Dakota Mason (RJ Reed and Brandon Tkachuk) at 8:37 and added an empty net insurance marker by Cam Maclise at 19:30 of period three to win the RBC Cup.
